Today’s Events

Saturday, January 31st, 2004

My buddy James is in town again! There will be much fun had tonight. Speaking of which, I hope this weather clears up, because I plan on attending the Main Event with all the outdoor concerts as well as the Suberbash with Eve 6 and Blue October. If this rain goes away, and the temperature rises a little, it’ll be perfect!

When I listed some bad Vipers the other day, I forgot to include one that is very close to my heart: the limited edition Spider-Man Viper! That is one beautiful machine.

Yes, I’m back in the rat race. I went out and got applications for Journey’s, Mr. Carwash, Darque Tan, and a Ford dealership. I’ll keep you updated on which options I am presented with.

Selling ‘lil Beast + Some Fine Ladies

    Monday, January 26th, 2004

Yup, I’m selling my truck. It has served me well, is in excellent condition, but I simply cannot afford the financing that my dad got on it. If you’re looking for a great 1997 Dodge Ram for under $8000, give it a look. I’m gonna miss my truck…

Now that we’re on the subject of cars, I have to do some more drooling over my all-time favorite mechanical miracle, the Viper. As those of you close to me know, I do not like the new RT/10 model nearly as much as I did the previous flagship, the GTS, although both are amazing. So, I decide to give you a look into some sweet modified Vipers:

  • The intimidating Jesse James Twin-Turbo
  • Sir Hiss drag
  • ‘02 GTS-R racing model
  • A one-off, hybrid GTS / RT/10 black beauty
  • Oooh, those babies are fine! And a little Viper trivia for you: the GTS is the spiritual descendant of the Mach 1.

    Microsoft Settles With Mike Rowe

    Monday, January 26th, 2004

Turns out Microsoft decided to be the good guy in the end. As I mentioned before, Mike Rowe acquired the domain name mikerowesoft.com, and shortly thereafter the big boys contacted him with demands for him to fork it over, or face a lawsuit. Through an outcry of public opinion and an out-of-court settlement, the two parties reached an agreement which rendered everyone happy: Mike Rowe handed over the domain, and in return Microsoft will buy him a new domain name, supply a free X-Box, as well as provide certification training.

Not too shabby, eh Mike? Source.
