Mud Bugs

Sunday, April 25th, 2004

I succommed moreso to hunger than to peer-pressure, but either way I went against my better judgement and dived headfirst into pound after pound of crawfish yesterday. All afternoon was spent at my ‘cousin’ Scott’s 30th birthday party, which included lots of food and drink. Much fun was had by all.

Prom plans are pretty muched finalized, but now I have to get the money together to pay for everything. Tickets, shirts, tux, limo, dinner, after party… it all adds up. Thankfully, Katie is real good about splitting costs, but I still won’t give up things like the meal. It’s just not right, ya know? The worst part is the tuxedo I want is $120 (ridiculous, I know), but I’m thinking of splurging on it anyway…

My awesome boss paid for the repairs and parts for my computer and I should be completing software installation in the next few days, so I’m up and running again. He also put some cash in my pocket for prom, so big thanks to you, Mr. Carr!

A new week is upon us and more things to be completed, so hang in there!

Halfway House

Spent $24 to get the techies to tell me what was wrong with my computer: basically, the hard drive’s cache function broke down and ended up corrupting the operating systems core files. After my last crash I got a new hard drive specifically for the operating system and I keep all my other files on two other drives, so my important data was untouched (thankfully). Now I have to go about installing the new hard drive, partitioning and formatting it, and restoring lost data from the old drive.

I never knew paper could be so usefull. Anyways, I should be back to updating once I get my computer fully operational. Take care!

Will is Well, Computer Catches Disease

Tuesday, April 20th, 2004

Just as I’m getting over my sickness, my computer gets a bug of some sort! It’ll run for about 5-10 minutes and then suddenly get incredibly slow. Typing this message would take 20 minutes or so, it’s that bad. I have work to do, projects, etc so I can’t deal with this! ‘Gotta bust out the ‘ol toolkit.. hopefully it will mysteriously fix itself, as has happened in times past.

Ya so I’m pretty much over my strange sickness. Just a pain in everything, is what it was. Prom is getting revved up; I know the girl I’m asking, but I was planning on doing the whole ‘big’ way of asking her this past weekend, but I was sick every day. I also need to design the t-shirts for our prom group (I may *ahem* pursuade them to go with another theme).

Tomorrow is the one-month anniversary of Kim’s passing. Please pray especially for her mother, who is still having a rough time grieving. She has been hit understandably hard during this whole time. Her church is dedicating some sort of mural to her and is allowing her close friends and family to help out with it and I am going tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll give an update on that.

And I still can’t find my camera! Ahhh!

Serve Me

Monday, April 19th, 2004

One thing that stinks about being sick is that you’re usually in too much pain to enjoy the service everyone is providing you. I mean, here they are waiting hand and foot on you, yet the only thing on your mind is getting more drugs. Ironic. Anyways, I missed school again today due to the sickness, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but now I have to attend Saturday school because I have so many absenses.

Speaking of giving orders, check out my subserviant chicken friend. Tell him to do a ‘random’ thing… funny.

Recovering?

Sunday, April 18th, 2004

Sorry about the lack of updates, but I’ve been in immense pain all weekend. To be brief, I’ve come down with a virus of some sort that has been attacking my throat, ears, head, chest, back, and all my muscles. I managed to drag myself to the computer today to try and get some work done, but now I’m going to try and get some sleep. Hopefully I will be better in the morning… It seems to get worse at night and then lessen during the day only to worsen, so we’ll see what happens.

Look at these pretty things. :)
