Dorm Video Tour

Saturday, August 28th, 2004

Ok, I’ve tried posting this three times now… so I’m not going to write a big post unless it doesn’t work. Check out a short video tour of my dorm.

College Life

Thursday, August 26th, 2004

So, here’s what my weekly routine is like:

Monday: 9am art, 10am philosphy, 11am freshman intro class, 2pm english, and 4pm raquetball. Definitely my most busy day.
Wednesday: same as Monday, but no 11am class.
Friday: only art and philosophy
Tuesday/Thursday: 11am math class.. then the river!

I’m on the 10th of 12 floors in my dorm (alternating girl-guy by floor, with the top two being girls) and I love it. I’ve already started indoor baseball, sliding down the halls on shampoo, human trash can bowling, interfloor card-board airplane contests, and lots more. It’s so great!

The river plays an integral part of campus life, with Sewell park being but a few minutes walk away and the San Marcos river flowing through it (and several other rivers close by). Of course, frat parties have been every night for the past week and although I don’t drink, I’m having a blast. I’m crazy enough without being inebriated.

First Day of Classes

Wednesday, August 25th, 2004

Gotta love college life… Concerts on campus, BBQ before class, chillin on the river afterwards, hanging out with friends; it’s beautiful. I love the campus so much!

I’ve already gotten in bunches of fun/trouble in my dorm (yes, I got one). All the guys and girls here love me, some of the RA’s hate me; it’s awesome. I gotta run, but I’ll get pictures in time!

Sleep? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Sleep!

Sunday, August 22nd, 2004

I have been rockin’ ever since I got here! Sorry for the lack of updates, but college life is crazy and awesome so far. From all-night parties to baseball in the dorm, to floating the river and smashing up the walls, and a host of things in between, I am loving college! I’ve met a ton of new people and they keep on comin’. Got my books today, though, so the loom of coming classes threatens to put a damper on my initial week of freedom. I’m ready for it, though!

Gotta run, as the inter-frat BBQ on the river is about to begin!

Official University Man

Thursday, August 19th, 2004

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I’ve moved in and have already been having a blast! (I just hope this high lasts…) Arrived yesterday around 1pm and moved into my dorm with the help of my wonderful mom and some frat guys, found out the A/C wasn’t working very well, and then went out to buy cables and eat with some new friends. Later, went out and had a blast with some friends and hung out at a few of the girls’ dorms.

Today, I plan on going dirt-bike riding and floating the river… Ah, if only classes didn’t have to start :)
