University Tomorrow!

Tuesday, August 17th, 2004

That’s right, I leave for Texas State University in the morning! I’m finally off. And guess what: they don’t even have a dorm assignment for me as of this morning. Evidently, I’m supposed to report to off-campus apartments and go from there. One of the main things I was looking forward to was staying on-campus! I was told that this arrangement could be temporary, for two weeks, or for the rest of the year! Oh, well… I’m trying to be optimistic. At least it’s not the non-air-conditioned dorms *sigh*.

Anyways… I leave tomorrow! And yes, I am excited and I am thankful. But I’m just really disappointed at the moment!

Rudy Giuliani Blasts Moore and Kerry

Monday, August 16th, 2004

Now this is what I like to hear: “America’s Mayor” Rudy Giuliani lashed out at Michael Moore, director of Fahrenheit 9/11, saying, “I don’t need Michael Moore to tell me about September 11th.”

Giuliani dubbed the documentary “pure propaganda, propaganda for political purpose and for profit.” He then ripped into Democrats for treating Moore like a “rock star” at the convention.

Next, Rudy took on John Kerry and his mocking of President Bush’s reaction to news of the 9/11 attacks. In a statement issued by the Bush campaign, Giuliani charged, “John Kerry must be frustrated in his campaign if he is armchair-quarterbacking based on cues from Michael Moore.”

And speaking of Kerry, check this report on how he was a hypocrite and sat around stunned for over 40 minutes after he learned of the terrorists.

This is No Movie

Sunday, August 15th, 2004

Played dodgeball tonight with about 60 guys from my old highschool and had a blast! The night started off having dinner with a girl friend of mine. On the way, another friend raced me down and told me about the dodgeball game. So, after dinner we headed out to find it. Problem: it wasn’t at the neighborhood clubhouse we thought; but we could hear the noises in the distance, behind a bunch of woods. So, what to do? Take the truck off-road, of course! We had a blast romping through the gravel and mud for 20 minutes until we found the game.

And what a game it was! A ton of my friends all getting together before the summer is over to hit each other with rubber balls as hard as we can. Pure joy :) Another game tomorrow night and I’ll try and get pics!

Texans Lick Cowboys

Sunday, August 15th, 2004

That’s right, our own Houston Texans played a great game against the Dallas Cowboys and showed ‘em what it means to get beat by a real Texan! My good friend Matt graciously provided the tickets and we had a good time. Check out the photos I managed to snap while we were out there.

Straight Pride

Saturday, August 14th, 2004

Created a straight pride shirt design for my own amusement and use. Could be taken humorously or seriously, depending on your standpoint. What do you think? Guys’ and girls’ versions.
