Very Much Alive

Tuesday, September 28th, 2004

I’ve had soooo much going on lately! The past week has been incredible packed. From Sunday to Sunday I didn’t get to sleep before 6am, with classes every morning. Pledgeship is excellent, school is good (made a 95% on my philosophy exam), business is still chugging along, and social life is rockin’. I’m going to try and keep my camera on my so as to update the pictures section; I’ve just been enjoying myself so much that I haven’t thought to take some pics.

Sorry this is short… the bottom line: college life is still amazing!

Kappa Sigma – Theta Lambda

Friday, September 17th, 2004

At 11:10 this morning I picked up my bids and accepted an invitation from the Theta Lambda chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity! Tonight will be an insane kick-off to my pledgeship with my fellow pledge brothers. I’m really excited about all that’s coming…

Torn

Thursday, September 16th, 2004

I’m very torn, though: I’ve had alot more time to get to know the Kappa Sig guys, but now I’m also liking the TKE’s, so I’m conflicted on who to pledge. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to find out all the intricacies of each and I have to make a decision tomorrow! I pray that God will lead me to the correct choice, whether it be one or the other or neither.

Discussion, Not Debate

Tuesday, September 14th, 2004

Just got finished with over three hours of theological conversation, discussion, and yes, debate. I’m pooped. Now I’m starting my design work, touched on some homework earlier so I’ve got more of that to do, and I didn’t get to go out to the frat houeses tonight for part of rush week.

Eegads. Life is busy. My truck doesn’t work. It’s all good.

9/11 Jihad Attack

Saturday, September 11th, 2004

Today is the third anniversary of the 9-11 Jihad attack on the United States in which thousands of innocent Americans were killed. As if to mock us and the rest of the world, Islamic terrorists attacked a school in Beslan, Russia killing hundreds of innocents including children. Oddly, in the three pages of coverage in the New York Times I read last week about the attacks, the fact that the child murderers were Islamic militants was not mentioned even once. Although an Al Quaida affiliate group took credit for the attack on the children, that fact was never mentioned by the Washington Post or by any TV networks. Yesterday more innocent people were murdered by a bomb placed by Islamists in Jakarta. The liberal media does not want to connect the dots and say that Islamic terrorists are waging a global war, because if that is the case, then we need a strong President who has no fear of using force when required to stop Islamic terror.

William Murray, an active political activist, has posted an excellent article regarding the religion of Islam and lack of coverage by major media outlets. It’s an excellent read and worth your time.
