Chain Ga-a-ang

Friday, September 10th, 2004

Definitely put in a full day… I was out with Jaime in Austin till after one in the morning before getting home to sleep, then I had to wake up for 9am class. Hard hour of lecture and note-taking, then the next period had a philosophy quiz and discussion. Grabbed a quick bite to eat in the den and then up to the dorm to work all afternoon on t-shirt designs. Today was the longest I’ve ever been in my dorm. It sucks.

Just got back from the gym and dinner. Now I’m taking a nap before headin’ out for the night. Have a great weekend!

Semi Charmed Life

Wednesday, September 8th, 2004

Had a great day today! Forced myself to get out of bed, shave and shower, and get over to my art class on time (a first!) at 9am. The lecture was more interesting than any previous, so I managed to stay awake. My next class was philosophy (always a favorites), but on the way I stopped to listen to a live band playing in the LBJ outdoor amphitheatre. This is the kind of stuff I love about college!

After philosophy, I walked over to the rec center to work out with some friends for an hour or so. Then I grabbed a smoothie and ate lunch with some girls I met the other day. Another shower and 15 minutes later, I visited with another girl friend in the quad, a central area of campus. Attened english, which was a breeze with some good discussion time.

I hung out with some of the frat guys from the different fraternities next, as they all had their tents set up in the quad. I’ve been looking at the Kappa Sigs above everyone else, but I don’t know for sure what I’m going to do yet (as in pledging or not). I then mosied on over to my raquetball class to get some cardio in. A quick swim in the river and then dinner with yet another girl friend.

Finally, down to work; I got several orders in for t-shirt designs that I have to get done this week. An hour or so was devoted to that work before I had a hall leadership election. As I wanted, I was voted vice-president of Jackson Hall :) Right afterwards, I joined a group of friends to go Crosstalk, a large worship service of about 400 of the students, which is just a short walk from my dorm.

Upon returning I organized an intramural football team for the fall and then went to eat again. Tomorrow is my easy class day, but my study and work day. Right now I’m typing this out and who knows what… perhaps some IHOP and dancin’ at 2am again, just like last night… Life is great!

Munchies

Lots going on and little time to write. It’s kind of tough to sit down and type out a quality report on what I’ve been doing anyway.

I did a ton of things this weekend and one of them was floating the river with 20 people I just met in the pitch black. Basically, I met this girl in the elevator and asked where she was going and ended up joining her and a bunch of people 10 minutes later. That trip was definitely interesting and full of memories… Afterwards, we had a big BBQ at 1:30 in the morning.

Now I’m hungry… must go eat.

Flying Hobo’s & Bobcats

Saturday, September 4th, 2004

Last night I headed out to Austin with Jaime, one of the countless people I’ve had the privelege of meeting up here at Texas State. We had a great time together doing alot of nothing in particular. During the course of the night, we hit up 6th Street, hillside cafe, an airport, and lots of things in between. Highlights of the night were bribing a hobo with $1 and a bag of Hershey Kisses and climing a radio tower at the San Marcos airport. Good times…

First game of the Texas State Bobcats football season was today. We killed the competition alot to 3 (I left after the first quarter, ha). The best part of the game, though, was the tailgaiting in the parking lot before hand. Tons of colllege students out there BBQing it up and hanging out. One thing I didn’t like at all, though, was the fact that the crowd has almost no school spirit compared to good ‘ol Klein Highschool. Back at home, we were loud and noisy, rowdy and crazy. Here, the crowd kind of gives out a timid yell of sorts, but for the most part isn’t into the game at all. Ah, well, I’ll just have to change that in time :P

Headin’ out to all kinda of stuff tonight; it’s awesome not to be sick!

Sick as a Dog

Thursday, September 2nd, 2004

I woke up feeling like I was going to die. Went to the student health center and had a check-up done by one of the doctors there. Bought $60 in drugs and took four pills. Passed out and finally woke up to write this. I hate being sick.

Where am I now?
