Life on Steroids

Wednesday, September 1st, 2004

Sorry for my continued lack of updates, but my life is jam-packed… and I’m loving it! College life continues to be very enjoyable with new experiences every day.

Today, I a dragged myself out of bed at 8:45, threw on some clothes, and marched over in a sleepy haise to my art lecture. Fighting sleep, I took good notes and made small talk with those around me (class of 300+). When 9:50 finally rolled around, I burst out of the doors into the morning light with those around me, finally haven woken up. The half-mile or so walk to my next class wasn’t bad at all, as several friends all walked with me to their own classes. Going through the “quad” is always fun, as people are selling food, posters, jewelry, and who knows what else, bands are often playing, and thousands of students are either mingling or making their way to class.

Philosophy, one of my favorite classes so far, was next. My teacher is an open-minded hippie-ish woman who is quite entertaining and encourages class discussion. When that was over, I met up with some more friends for lunch and then chilled and did some homework out by the LBJ student center, reveling in the beautiful nature around me as I sat in the shade of trees surrounding the amphitheatre.

Now I am writing this, have class at 2pm, raquetball at 4pm, then I’m hitting the river and who knows what else. The student worship service is tonight from 8-10 and I’ll probably go out to eat afterwards. Life is good.

Where am I now?
