Snow… in Texas?

Friday, December 24th, 2004

That’s right, it’s snowed in Dallas, it’s snowed in Austin, and now it has snowed in Houston! First floury in a decade, first standing snow in 20 years… gotta love it.

Merry Christmas… go celeberate life!

They’re All Smucks

What is this guy thinking?

Don’t ya wish life had a “do-over” button for so many situations? Sometimes, things just suck… and it really is your fault.

Hey, I’m back in Houston now…

School is Out!

That’s right! I pulled another all-night last night, got kicked off of 6 our of 7 of the floors of the library, and it’s now 10:40am and I need some sleep… I will hopefully get my test grade by tomorrow and have a rough sketch of what my final GPA will be. I will know for sure on Friday when the grades are released. Take it easy, ya’ll!

Coppers

Sunday, December 12th, 2004

Ya, so why are the San Marcos cops such a-holes? To make a long story really short, a party I was at got busted by the cops. They banged oun the door for 20 minutes before some stupid drunk girl opened the door. The police have no right whatsoever to enter a private residence without warrent. Anyways, they were real jerks about it and threatened me with an MIP, even though I had clearly not been drinking (it’s me, come on) and I was holding an iced-tea. Ah, **** the police, right?

Anyways, I was studying all day before I went out… Now it’s time to sleep.

I Shot Bambi

Thursday, December 9th, 2004

After several hours of studying, and during a sugar-high energy rush, I decided to go hunting with my pledge brother Blake and a couple of my other brothers. It was around 3am on Thursday morning, so we quickly grabbed some gear and headed up to Blake’s ranch, about an hour and a half north of campus. I had never been hunting before, so I was pretty dang excited.

After a stop by the house and a food break, we arrived at the ranch around 5am. We put on our warm clothes, got the guns ready, and then posted up in our respective blinds. Blake and I were way up in a tree about 100 yards from a feeder when we heard two bucks fighting. We scanned the area and around us and spotted them in the distance. After passing up several smaller bucks and a few does, I spotted one of the previous fighting bucks walking out into a clear. I lined him up, aimed, and fired – a direct hit, straight through both shoulders (and the lungs and heart). Needless to say, he dropped.

Ah, twas a great trip. I’ll have some pictures up once I get ‘em off my friend’s camera. After the excursion, we drove back and I took my English final (I had written it out the night before) and then went straight to sleep…
