Brawl

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

Sometimes the most exciting things are the ones that you cannot publicly discuss. Suffice it to say, tonight proved to be quite interesting… And some guy is going to have one hell of a headache in the morning, one which I definitely contributed to.

One Week Down, 16 More To Go

Saturday, January 21st, 2006

Texas State University - Quad
I made it through the first week of classes… barely. Changed my schedule three times, dropped two classes and picked up two others, waking up at seven (7am! Ridiculous!) and going to bed at four in the morning. Work is picking up, though; I’ve got two new website orders, three posters for the school, and a t-shirt order. I’m busy as hell again, but I can’t complain!

You know, every time I sit down to write one of these things I have so much going on and so much I could talk about that I end up talking about nothing at all. Wild parties at the house, trips to Austin, crazy happenings at school, philosophical explorations; it’s all there. I’m living a pretty full life right now. Stressful, but happy.

School Starts Today

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

School starts up again for me in less than 12hrs. I have been out for about six weeks, so I have definitely gotten out of the rhythm of my studies. This semester is going to be packed, with lots of hours at school, Fite Nite, work and my project, acting, and other responsibilities.

Once again, I’ve fallen behind on updates. So much has been going on the past couple of weeks, that I haven’t taken a moment aside to sit down and collect my thoughts on individual occurrences. So, you’re just going to have to do without! I’m hoping to get some pictures online somewhere in the near future.

I’ve been working on a new website design for a client out of Houston, as well as the latest poster design for the theatre department at school, so I’ll have some fresh cash rolling in soon. Oh, and I’ve only got two essays left to write on my transfer application to the University of Texas… wish me luck!

The Matador

Monday, January 9th, 2006

Too impatient to await its January 20th release, I acquired a copy of The Matador, a dark comedy starring none other than former Bond-man Pierce Brosnan. The story centers on Brosnan’s character, a profane hit man undergoing a midlife crisis, who befriends his polar opposite at a bar in Mexico City. This charismatically amoral assassin manages to touch the hearts of the viewer, albeit in a decidedly twisted way. Refreshingly psychopathic, I recommend this little flick to the mature audience.

Longhorns are number one!

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

Texas is number one!
Texas has done it! In an incredible 41-38 victory, the Longhorns stunned Southern California and claimed their fourth national championship. The game was amazing! We were all on our feet the entire game over here at the fraternity house, going wild and cheering the boys on to victory.

Afterwards, we raced down to 6th street in Austin to celeberate; it was wild! The streets were completely packed with people screaming and cheering, going crazy and partying! People burning USC jerzees, jumping around, high-fiving everyone… All of Austin was celeberating! It was pretty amazing.

I’m recovering today… But it’s good to be the champions again!
