More great things this week… Big concert at Zilker park, where I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn’s old band Double Trouble. I went with a couple of friends, plus brought Cain along and we all enjoyed it very much. The weather was nice outside, tons of people, and lots of dogs everywhere; Cain couldn’t get enough of it!

Then Friday night Joe invited me along to go see Pat Green at a sold-out show in New Braunfels. The concert was a blast, I met even more new people, then we all went back to the mansion for a big party, just like old times. I’d only been gone a week, but I loved partying out at the house again. Slightly different experience now that I don’t live there, though.

And then today I crawled out of bed and went straight to float the Comal river with another bunch of friends. Life is a colorful experience! Only negative is that “the one thing” has taken a certain negative turn, and new information has dampened my spirits. È rifinito…

Five a.m. hooka, traditional sushi, no-leash dog parks, the river, the lake, the pond, dog statues that move, Stevie Ray Vaughn, live music, more hooka, great friends, house-warming parties, front-lawn parties, non-stop parties, television studio sets, movie sets, all-nighters, no-nighters, a badass house… And that’s just for starters. Austin is so incredible thus far.

I could eleborate so much on that statement… but tonight one amazing friend reminded me how blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life. Even though I don’t give it easily, and I fail to accept or believe that it is given to me, I am loved. Thank you, DD.

I finally made the transition up to Austin! Nine days until classes start, so just over a week for me to get settled in and find out all the places to go around my new neighborhood. So far, I love it! The house is beautiful and I’ve got a nice big room, plus there are some great sushi places and hooka bars nearby. I had friends over last night, and then today I took Cain out with Lindsay to a big no-leash dog park and we all had a blast.

I’m looking forward to school and everything about this fall… Life is good! Now if only that one thing would magically work itself out I would be in heaven. Lo ama? La amo così!

It remains to be seen.

On an unrelated note, I’m going to be playing the part of a featured extra football player on an episode of Friday Night Lights; filming is for the next three days, 7pm-5am. Look for me in the pilot this fall as well!
